Cantina della Volta was founded in 2010 by a group of wine enthusiasts, led by Christian Bellei, with the aim of enhancing Modenese tradition through the Metodo Classico, also known as the Méthode Champenoise, which involves natural bottle fermentation. The winery’s wines are crafted from carefully selected Lambrusco di Sorbara DOC, Pinot Noir, and Chardonnay grapes grown in hillside vineyards. Harvesting is done by hand in 15 kg crates to preserve the integrity of the clusters, which are then gently pressed. The must ferments in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, and after six months, it is prepared for secondary fermentation with selected yeasts and bottled. The bottles are aged horizontally at a constant temperature of 12°C for a minimum of 24 up to 48 months, depending on the product, resulting in elegant, high-quality wines that celebrate the Modenese wine heritage.

Perla del Garda was born from an ambitious idea: to bring vineyards back to the morainic hills of our farm.
Our production philosophy is based on a fundamental principle: wine begins in the vineyard, responding flexibly to the climatic conditions of each vintage with the care and wisdom of our farming tradition. We produce the most important DOP wines of our region: Garda, Valtènesi, and Lugana. Our winery primarily works with Turbiana grapes and interprets the Lugana DOP disciplinary in all its tipologies. We also produce red and sparkling wines of Garda DOP, and, since 2021, Valtènesi DOP rosé—typical wines of the Brescia province. Our vineyards cover 48 hectares, cultivated with organic and sustainable farming practices, certified by EQUALITAS (Valoritalia), SQNPI, and Sidel Organic. Our wines are crafted using processes and infrastructures aligned with sustainability principles, in compliance with the “MAKE IT SUSTAINABLE” technical specifications.

Ours is a story like many in the wine world, a family story, and that is what makes it, at least for us, a special story. With time and determination, our company was born, first dedicated to livestock farming and then transformed into the winery it is today. Il Colombaio di Santa Chiara turned to viticulture in 2002, when at the urging of Alessio, the youngest of us three brothers, we decided to join the wonderful and complex world of oenology. Alessio had started studying oenology and his passion had involved him so much that he wanted to put his studies into practice, followed by his brothers Giampiero and Stefano. In order to respect our land and maintain its richness, we decided to work under a certified organic regime, year after year, vintage after vintage, giving life to wines that do not fear time and generously reward patience in waiting. Our vineyards extend within the DOCG Vernaccia di San Gimignano area for 22 hectares, a small part of which is reserved for woodland. Upper Pliocene sands with clays, pebbles and gravels in some plots alternate with the more ancient formations of cavernous limestone in others.

The heart of the Barba farm and winery are the vineyards, spread over 68 hectares in one of the most vocated areas of the territory: Colle Morino, Casal Thaulero and Vignafranca, all belonging to the Montepulciano and Trebbiano d’Abruzzo D.O.C. and Colline Teramane D.O.C.G. areas. Our wines are born here, thanks to the careful care of the vineyards perfected over forty years of vine-growing.
The harvest represents the synthesis of the work carried out in the vineyards during the year; only the best and undamaged bunches, collected in boxes, are destined for vinification.
All this takes place in the Barba winery, located in Scerne di Pineto, at the foot of Colle Morino. Built in 1991, it has a total capacity that exceeds the company’s production potential (around 9,000 hectolitres) and makes use of the most advanced technologies: the recently redesigned grape entry line has been renewed in every part.
The must temperature control system allows fermentation to take place smoothly, enhancing the aromas; stainless steel fermenter batteries and truncated oak vats complete the vinification cycle. Large temperature-controlled rooms are reserved for the ageing of the wines and the storage of the bottles.

An ecosystem built on organic and biodynamic agriculture, sustainable distribution systems, and consumer education. They work transparently and by innovating, driven by a very long-term view. The development of Avignonesi, founded on the production of wine, also extends to their Hospitality. The Ancient Greeks would have defined a similar approach to the wine industry with the words kalòs kagathòs: literally, the beautiful and the good. The portrayal of an idea of indivisible beauty and goodness. Virtues that speak of a profound coherence of soul, uniting qualities that if separated could not have existed. To be “beautiful” (kalòs) one had to “also behave well” (kagathòs).

Podere Il Carnasciale is a Tuscan winery with a unique dimension, closely linked to Caberlot, a grape variety derived from a spontaneous cross between the noble Bordeaux varieties Cabernet Franc and Merlot, hence the name. It was the agronomist Remigio Bordini who discovered the hybrid in an abandoned vineyard in the Euganean Hills, Veneto, in the 1960s. In the early 1980s, the German Wolf Rogosky, an internationally renowned publicist, tasted a Caberlot-based wine produced by oenologist Vittorio Fiore and immediately fell in love with it. So together with his wife Bettina, with whom he was already thinking of investing in a wine production in Tuscany, he decided to bet everything on this rare variety, initially known by the initials L32, renamed by Wolf as Caberlot. The place chosen for the project was Mercatale Valdarno, in the hills of the province of Arezzo, close to the border between Chianti and Valdarno. Here, the tradition of Podere Il Carnasciale is carried on today by Moritz Rogosky together with his mother Bettina.
The property of Podere Il Carnasciale comprises just over 5 hectares of vineyards, planted with the black grape varieties Caberlot and Sangiovese. The plots are located on sandy soils rich in skeleton, at an altitude between 200 and 425 metres above sea level. Agronomic management is based on the principles of certified organic farming and the harvest is carried out entirely by hand with careful selection of the grapes.

Before they became acclaimed Red Mountain pioneers, Tom and Anne-Marie Hedges (a native of Champagne) started American Wine Trade, brokering West Coast wines all over the world. In 1989 they purchased their own 50 acres in the new Red Mountain region and started their winery in 2001. Today their son Christophe Hedges manages sales. Their daughter Sarah Goedhart is director of winemaking and operations. Kayla Braich manages the vineyards. They committed to both organic and biodynamic farming and certification on their estate wines early on. High winds and cold winters help reduce pest pressure. They do minimal mowing and use only organic approved products and biodynamic preparations to combat pests and mildew. They release beneficial insects to increase biodiversity. They also purchase fruit from certified organic growers for some of their non-estate wines.

He farms Martha’s Vineyard, one of Napa’s Grand Cru sites. Certified organic (since 1984!) and biodynamic (since 2021), he was the first in Napa to receive Regenerative Organic certification (in 2022). The 2024 harvest marks Mark’s 58th harvest in Napa and his 41st organic harvest. Neal prides himself on his 22 clones of Cabernet which give complexity to the wines. He farms 17 acres in Rutherford (originally planted by his father Jack) and 12.5 acres on Howell Mountain, purchased in 1990, for its sunny microclimate and red volcanic Aiken soil. To double his crop, he’s interplanted a wide variety of climate friendly whites (Assyrtiko, Vermentino and more) on the Rutherford property between the Cabernet vines.
