12th of November 2018 the Slow Wine World Tour will arrive in Tokyo with a tasting to celebrate the great Italian Wine: some 35 top producers from all over the country will present their labels to Japanese sector professionals. An opportunity to get to know the producers, wines and the stories behind in a personal and professional way!
The event will be hosted by the prestigious Happo-En of Tokyo
1 Chome-1-1 Shirokanedai, Minato, Tokyo 108-0071, Japan
The event is organized by the consortium of promotion I Vini del Piemonte, in cooperation with Slow Wine. The latter is the Slow Food guide to Italian wines whose peculiarity is to present wine by giving value to those who produce it respecting its organoleptic values as well as territory, tradition and identity fully in line with the Slow Food philosophy.
The main topics of the event will focus on “The beauty of manual skills”: the wines that you will taste are the fruit of great Italian winemakers’ manual skills. These wines are the authentic result of the work of producers who directly grow their vines, with the entire control of the production chain. The selected labels are the result of a sustainable viticulture for the environment, with a low use of chemicals. These wines are also the product of (high end) winemaking skills that let the territory of origin and the vine varieties express naturally in the cellar.
The attending wine companies will be carefully selected to guarantee the Japanese wine lovers the possibility to meet those who represent a Good, clean and fair enology.
The event will be reserved for the sector professionals (importers, restaurateurs, ho.re.ca, sommeliers, journalists, bloggers, etc.)
